Importing Models after 2013 to Maya
As some of you may have noticed, some models, particularly those after 2013, do not upload correctly to Maya with the outdated RiotFileTranslator plug-in. I am using Maya 2014 and have a solution to this problem.
The key to this problem is the program lol2dae. This will convert the .skn files to the COLLADA .dae format which is readable with the default Maya 2014 plug-in settings. Converting the skin to this format flips the mesh horizontally, however, so you will have to undo that manually. This video will teach you everything you need to know about this process:

Do you have a fix for the skins not working when you export them? Like for example if you use this fix to export the Mordekaiser skin it will bug during W animation, and graves for example during reload animation. Something doesn’t translate well into maya, i don’t know what it is..

Has to do with the .anm files I think. You cant import a lot of them. Just a few.

Doubt it’s relevant, but does this sort of thing apply to textures as well? I’m still longing for the day we can have the old champion textures to go with the Season 2 Summoner’s Rift :P

you can use RAF manager to dump the old champion textures, then use wooxy to replace the textures with the old versions.

Hmmm… I’ll see if I can have a play around with that at some point then. Cheers! :P

You can also use a program that Chewy made for us SKN Converter -https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0_FRscHx_dATGVNekpvUjNuQWs/view?usp=sharing
