Original Announcer
This mod features a soundpack that replaces the actual announcer with the old announcer from the closed beta of LoL and features a smooth voice.
1.Download the file on Googledrive here.
2. Open Wooxy and go to “Skins”, then “Import skin”
3. Select “add a package” and choose the downloaded file.
4. Install the Skin.

Doesn’t seem to work anymore. I keep getting a “This skin wasn’t installed because your game doesn’t use the same project as this skin: lol_game_client_en_gb” message.

Mmmmmh, I could do that, but someone has to give me the mp3 quotes and has to tell me what they mean. If you put them and a list that explains what they say on Google Drive or somewhere else I would do it :)

Well I never searched them, but I guess you should search for a Youtube-Video with the quotes, download it, edit it and split it into the single quotes and them to me then :)

Chewy did an old Summoner’s Rift mod and also old hud. It would also be so much work for me to change all the textures, just to make them be purple.

Je joue en version EU je suis français et je joue en GB et sa fonctionne pas maleuresement ._. .

I don’t know the problem and I don’t have a French version, because everything would has to be done again and I don’t even speak French, so I wouldn’t even be able to a a French version if I would want to.

Une autre petite question, quand tu installes le skin avec Wooxy et que tu fermes Wooxy, après avoir réouvert Wooxy, est-ce que le skin est toujours considéré comme installé ?

Well it’s only working for the English version of LoL regardless of whether it’s a .wxy file or not.

If you could upload the .zip file, it would be helpful for anyone on NA. I really want to use this. Also, how did you exactly do this? I’ve been wanting to make an announcer pack, but I’ve never known how.

Yeah it’s not working for me either for some reason. I am playing on an English version (NA) and it just plays the normal announcer.

I think the problem is that only the file in lol_game_client_en_gb is changed :/
But I don’t believe that .wpk files of NA and EU-West are different, so I’ll try to add it for the NA version soon. The problem for me is that I don’t get access to the lol_game_client_en_na folder - or how it’s called - with Wooxy, so I think I would have to change my LoL to NA server first.

I downloaded my linked file and tested it and everything is working fine. Maybe you’re confused, because it doesn’t contain quotes like “Welcome to Summoner’s Rift” but the old announcer didn’t had these quotes. The problem could also be that you aren’t playing the English version, because it’s only working for it. If you want to have a file for the German version, I have one. Otherwise I don’t know why it shouldn’t be working.

Hey, good job! I got surprised as well when I heard nothing at the beginning but it indeed works when I die under the turret! There’s also a problem in Wooxy: when the English LoL version isn’t installed, Wooxy shows “Installed” for the skin whereas nothing was installed. This will be fixed in the next version!
