Important details:
This map skin is in beta version because there is a thing we need to fix to make the map more playable : bushes. We know that they are too dark for the map and we are still working to fix this problem.
There are two walls in the map that doesn’t exist in the actual map. These walls were deleted in Nami patch last year. You know that the Harrowing Map is old and this is why there are these walls.
You can run over these walls, the first time it’s embarrassing because we have the reflex to avoid these walls, but after some games, it will be okay!

I installed it successfully but it seems it doesn’t work in-game. What can I do? Actually, are we still able to install custom maps?

Hello, yeah we are able to install custom maps…however, maps for the old Summoner’s Rift (like this one) won’t be visible in game (since LoL doesn’t load the old map anymore). It means that this map doesn’t work anymore. I’m sorry.

hey chewy when i play on the harrowing map everything is like a tanish color and its weird it doesnt look right and when i add the map to SUI it skips 5 files like: atmosphere and sun things like that.

Hi, Riot removed those files (atmosphere and sun) when they released a patch this year. It means that the light cannot be modified causing that the map looks too bright. Unfortunately, I don’t know how we can fix the problem, I’m sorry.

just saying its a sad sad day for me i remember when riot was not so big and rich,during the beta that i was in and they put up this map two times and then just stopped doing it,because it was not needed any more because the got to be the number one pc game out,so they did not need to impress us any more :(

i dont think its fixable. from what i understand the sun.ini and atmosphere file is removed (?) explaining why it is in daytime.

Back-to-past skins don’t seem to be working after the 4.10. They became way too bright, get blue textures and the minimap gets bugged. I’ve tried 3 things:
1. Reinstalling the skins.
2. Using the “fix/repath” function.
3. Redownloading the skins.
Nothing worked. The SiU seems to forcefully skip some of the skin files. Those are my observations.

This map no longer works after the 4.8 patch. i dont know about the other map skins but i get the message ERROR this map skin looks totally messed up right now (something like that) and ive tried the fix skin button but still same error

I really like the Beach rift, but have never done one of these map skins before. How would I go about it and does it update by it self? Like they change some of the brush and such does the map change those as well?

Run both firefox and siu on adminstrator permission and make sure siu is open when you click on the SD or LD it should ask you if you want to install it with Skin Installer Ultimate and click ok and let it download

Hi, I’ve been using your map skins for months now and I cannot imagine the game without them anymore, not only because aesthetic reasons, but also because these original old maps (like this one) boost my extremely low fps. However, after today’s update (4.5) I have not been able to use any of these maps. Magic Rift seems to work fine, but I prefer Original Harrowing Rift to it due to superior fps it gives. The problem is basically this: the game crashes on loading screen if I attempt to start it while having one of the original map skins installed. I then attempt to use the option of fixing crashes in SiU, which always finds 21 corrupt files, but when I attempt to start the game after such fixes, there appear to be problems after the map does load. For instance, the map becomes way too dark and also some textures seem to be lacking. Besides, I am not able to see my gold and everybody’s hp is always displayed as full (including minions). In other words, the SiU fixer fix crashes, but screws the map over too hard so it is not playable either way. I’ve been trying to fix this so many times by re-installing skins over and over and spamming the “fix” option a good number of times, but nothing happened. I even uninstalled and re-downloaded the entire game to see if I can make things work. I’d like one of the devs to respond and tell me if there’s anything more I can do, because this map is just perfect for me. It gives me low fps and it is dark, which means character models and hp bars do not blend with textures too much thus making everything more clear. I’d appreciate your help so much.

I have just tested to download the map, and it works fine. After you see this message, there is no evolving progress bar at the bottom?
If the progress bar is there, wait until the download is finished. If not, try to open SIU as admin before clicking the link above.

Yes, it’s normal to load these 3 files first, then the progress bar starts again from zero to download the map. I just tested here and it loaded the map right for me. If it’s not loading for you, I’m not sure what’s happening, since this type of “bug” usually happens to everyone (when it happens) and I couldn’t reproduce it.

Is the light effect in the bushes (e.g. the top lane bush connecting to the river) supposed to be there in this version as depicted in the screenshot? There is no such light when I launch a game. Thanks :)

Salut, ce que je sais c’est que tout marche avec ce patch, pas de problème particulier. En revanche, parfois des choses étranges arrivent : textures bleues, certains fichiers qui ne s’installent pas correctement, etc… En ce qui te concerne, c’est les particules. Ce que je sais c’est que le fichier des particules a été changé pour le patch 4.3 ce qui expliquerait ton bug. Ce que je te conseille de faire : dans SIU, désinstalle le skin et supprime-le. Une fois fait, clique sur “Update File List” (toujours dans SIU), attends un peu. Une fois fini, re-télécharge le skin sur le site et réinstalle le.

Installed it with SIU, looks great..but the ground all the in base area before you actually get in lane is just plain stone. No dirt or different textures. But it’s not like that in the pictures etc..did I miss something?

The turrets and stuff looked different before the Summoner’s Rift update. The purple ones had a grassy dirty base like so: http://www.channelmassive.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/scrn_LoLNexus.jpg
And the blue ones were more like today’s, but both of them had their inhibitor crystals the opposite color, like purple for the crystal and blue for the base for the blue team.

Everytime i install the Skin it says ( Warning, there was an error finding your release manifest file!
This means that something is weird inside your LoL directory
It is probably best to do a full repair.
Go To C:\Program Files\GarenaLoLPH\\RADS\projects\ and delete the folder “lol_game_client”
Then open up your launcher for LoL, click the gear on the top right, and choose repair.
It may also help to right click -> run as administrator, this program as well )
but in previous months i installed the “Beach Rift Sunset” and it’s good. but why when i install the other themes, this is my problem. :/ need your help! asap thanks.

Urf is not supposed to work : i said Urf tomb, but not Urf ghost (it’s hard to integrate!). For the fps, i don’t know, i haven’t any bugs in this side.

Yeah, Urf is a character, not a particle so it’s not easy to manipulate it and integrate it in a map. But i have some ideas, maybe it will work! For a next version maybe …

I don’t know if the version i will release of Winter Rift is BETA. Because there are no problems about bushes (there are still the little walls). I’m actually working on two versions : the 2010 and 2011. I have actually a little little problem with the 2011 version but it will not affect a lot the players.
So, you have to wait! But visit the site often ^^

Hello hero9511. We made this change in the structure how we download and use the maps and we are not returning back (at least not for a while). The links are all tested in Windows 7+8, Firefox+Chrome clean browsers (without add-ons). If you have any anti-virus or anything in your system that blocks scripts in a browser, then this is why the link just refreshes the page for you (which would be odd, because to refresh the page it’s also inside the same script). In this case, I suggest you reinstall SIU in another folder and run it once before clicking the links. Maybe something is preventing from your SIU create a protocol inside your browsers… just a guess…

I have also problems with downloading this. I can open the file, when i click on it, but then it says what i want to do with this file( it has its own Skin Installer Preset option) i click on okay which means the file should redirected to SIU, but nothings happens on SIU like nothing at all. That’s the reason I don’t like your new way to download stuff =(. I would like to have a separate option to download the file and do it manually instead of the current instant execution of the file.

Hello, no progress bar in SiU when you click on the link? There is a new download way to limit the “direct link” share. You know when some people share the direct link to download the map? People who clicking on these links doesn’t know that the map come from YurixyWorks.

after the last patch the game says that found corrupted data and fix itself deleting my my winter rift skin :(

I click to download SD or LD map but… this site is only refreshed… Any idea what’s going are? I cleared my Chrome, i have runing LSI etc. and nothing… Like i say - when i click to download - site is only refreshed…

I had to same problem, but I just used firefox and it worked fine

Ok, I tested it. I can’t belive this map is again in game! I love you Chewbacca!
Black bushes, and this little walls isn’t problems. The real problem - it’s so much bats! On original map there was only few bats in right places. It will be great, if you try to remove some bats.
Still - awesome work. You made my day. I’m playing LoL for about 2,5 year, and my best games was on this map.

You have to wait for the loadbar to load completly. The two txt. files appear when SIU is Downloading. Then will appear all of the files of the map for the installation.

Mhh I think, some files are not installed in your LoL installation. The brightness of the map seems to be modified but not the other things (textures/objects …). You should uninstall and re-install the map (make sure to re-download it). Tell me if it works after that or not! Thanks
