Install
You can install this skin with Wooxy:
1. Download either the DAY VERSION or NIGHT VERSION.
2. In Wooxy, click “Skins” > “Import skin” > “Add package” and select the downloaded WXY file.
3. Your skin is now imported in Wooxy, you can install it by selecting it in the list and clicking “Install”.

Hey, Chewy, is the Snowfall effect still available for this one? I noticed there isn’t snowfall now that it has been re released.

Unfortunately no! When I released the 5th version 2 years ago, I managed to add the snowfall effect, but soon after, Riot changed the way their files were working so it removed the possibility to have an effect like the snowfall in a map. We could put a snowfall effet at the moment, but we noticed that it causes some fps drops.

This map was made for the old summoner rift, this mod does not work with the new summoner rift (5×5 map) released by Riot.
We will, eventually, create new skins for the new map.

Every time I click the link to download, all it does it bring me back to the top of the screen. This isn’t the only download link with this issue as I also experienced the same problem with the are 91 skin.

Since today a bugsplat is occurring in the loadscreen, when using the Winterrift. All other maps (like the old original map) are still ok. Hope you can fix it as fast as possible :) I like the winter rift and all was fine, the last 3 months.

I was talking to yurixy in another page on this site. He was saying that I could try this skin in order to assist with a colorblind issue I have with the minimap. I tried it out and it didn’t work, the blue minions blended in ~90% with the ground. Just a heads up for (red-green) colorblind players who may be looking for a fix like me.
@chewbacca, It’s a cool map otherwise! :) I just can’t personally play a non-custom game on it tho (basically :p).

I installed the Harrowing Rift, and I wanted to change to Winter Rift, but after I re-installed, it caused some issues - some mixture about the floor between 2 kinds of map. How can I back up my map?

Maybe you forgot to uninstall the Harrowing map, that’s could be a cause. Uninstall both maps (on SIU), repair your LoL (on the Launcher) and install the Winter Map!

When you’re installing this map skin, a new window will ask you to install some details, including new sound and new menu text mod. Last week, I forgot to tick the new sound, so the winter rift music didn’t come to men. That’ my experience, and I hope you can fix and enjoy it :D

I don’t know why! Click on the GeT button to obtain the list of all maps skins in the GeT app. Select your map skin and click on GeT!

After patching 4.1. my map skin doesnt work :( All map is blue (like a blue screen). Only trees and rocks are not blue (bushes are blue too… can’t distinguish the bush).

Hey Chewbacca, I think there may be a problem with the snow in the latest patch (or maybe it’s just me). Basically, in the river there’s these little glowing white shimmers. It’s a result of the snowfall, but I’m not sure why. The problem is on both the Dragon and Baron sides. Any idea how to fix it, or can you update it? Or maybe Riot just broke something?

Go to “Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_
game_client\filearchives” and delete everything in there, then
open up your launcher, click the gear on the top right, then click repair.

Vale, pues le tienes que hacer click a GET, y te saldrá una nueva pestaña con un menú, y luego ya sigues las instrucciones. Te salen todos los mapas y lo eliges y tal.

I’m using Windows 7 Premium and When I started Skin Installer Ultimate.exe (SIU), “it has stopped working” so I can launch it, I have net frame work 4.0 and winrar… can you do something?

I think after the recent snowdown showdown patch the map floor has gone blue again. Or atleast it does appear to be. Please cross check and give me a reply if possible. If it’s my mistake, what am I doing wrong which causes this problem? I played on this map many times but after the patch I’m not able to. Thank you Yurixy and Chewbacca. :)

guys i’m lost i when i want to add the files it tells me Added 0 of 0 files (skipped 0). and each file has 1 kb, what should i do or what is wrong?

Files with 1kb are due to I/O error, try to get from another server. Server #3 has Christmas skins and was online until few minutes ago (I think it’s still online).
Each server refreshes every 24 hours.

Try use SIU for reverse files from riot adressary files (.RAF), u will have a lot of extrahed files, and just u can try find correct files for your editting.

Are you using SIU 4.15? It shouldn’t give you options of folders to install the skin.

Yes , i am using 4.15 version . When i try to load a file it just pop up a mini screen which says to select the folder .

If you are getting options, it probably means your lol installation is a bit dirty.. you will need to do a 1 time fix for now.
Go to “Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_
game_client\filearchives” and delete everything in there, then
open up your launcher, click the gear on the top right, then click repair.
This will take a while, but after that , reopen SIU and the issue should be gone.

LD : Low Definition
SD is better than LD ! :D But if you haven’t a correct computer, you have to play in the LD version to have more fps!

English version : Hey I’m back! I wrote LGG an e-mail, and i didn’t get an answer. My problem is SIU, if i start SIU the error: “LoadLibrary failed with error 1114” came. I downloaded it many times, but it still don’t works! If I start SIU as Admin, it still don’t works… Guys pls help me!
German version : Hey Community, ich brauche hilfe, denn mein SIU funktioniert nicht, wenn ich die Datei “Skin Installer Ultimate” ausführe steht dort : “LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: Eine DLL-Initalisierungsroutine ist fehlgeschlagen”. Auch wenn ich das Programm als Admin ausführe, kommt der selbe Error ! Ich habe das Programm mehrere mal heruntergeladen und immer direkt entpackt ! Bitte helft mir !

Hi NarsilionCZ. I haven’t tested, i think it’s enough :) But, yeah, try to maybe add the last line of my env.ini another time : maybe it would have 2 particles for the snow, and then, more snow. Test it, and tell me if it works or not, i actually haven’t time to test this thing ^^ For the blizzard, i will maybe search a new particle, i don’t know, i will see. Do u have read the sentence in the article i have made (this article) ? If yes, just tell me, i will remove this line!

Hi, me again from the Harrowing Rift. Not really direct to the map but I just changed to this since Christmas is near. :)
Just gonna ask if what’s changed if I set the Effects quality between very low and very high?
In Environments settings, I set it to very high since I noticed too many changes from very low to very high which is awesome.

Mmh, change the Effects quality will not specially affect the map. It will affect the effect of abilities of champions for example.

It doesn’t work I installed siu, downloaded the map , followed all the steps exactly the same but when i put the map zip into siu, it says Succeded adding 0 from 89 files, then if i try it again i must enter a path name of the folder that can’t be recognised even if i type it corectly. Help me please lol

I suggest you contact LGG (you can find his email inside the SIU Menu > About). He can offer proper support with SIU.

Please help, i really wan’t this map cause it’s amazing. I currently have Windows 8.1 wich came with my new computer. The SIU crashes, it simply does not open it shuts down instantly. Will this work on Windows 8 or can i somehow fix it?

I’m on Windows 8.1 and I haven’t any problem. I don’t know SIU, you can ask a question to LGG, the author of the program. But the one thing i’m sure, is that Windows 8.1 is not the cause of your problem.

This does not work at all. I downloaded the SIU and the skin, added all files to database, installed the skin and launched the game. Only bushes were affected and the whole rest remains the same. Can’t seem to get this working.

The bushes in V4 (Patch 3.14) are not snowy, is this normal?

But in the winter V4 map they look just like they would normally look.

I am having a problem with SIU.. I downloaded it and when I try to launch it, it says “Skin installer ultimate has stopped working” and it won’t launch. Please help! :)

Only the maps that say fixed on them will show proper. What i did is un-install the ones not labeled fixed and then deleted them from siu and my comp. Next i redownloaded them to the siu. (Only the fixed) The regular beach rift is fixed only on day. I tried sunset and night and still blue. Remember to uncheck the fix texture box in edit all options b4 installing. All work for me. GJ sirs cant wait for more and riot to pay u for the wonderful idea u have done. Fore someone thats played 4k matches already, even a skin is great change.

I unchecked the meshskin 1 in the SIU and unchecked fix skin textures but I still get the light blue shop, walls, river, etc. but why? and how can I fix it?

All of my maps are fixed (Winter Rift, Autumn Rift), so, your problem is not from my map. Try to re-install it with the good options.

in some weird cases you may need to get a fresh LoL slate. it takes some time, but to do this Go to “Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_
game_client\filearchives” and delete everything in there, then
open up your launcher, click the gear on the top right, then click repair.
once it is done, re-open siu, let it update, and try again.

I just tested this on 3.12 and there are a few items that show up bright blue, including rocks, the item shop and the entirety of the river. I really just wanted to bring this to your attention because i love this map and i really would like to keep playing it.

I’m having the same problem, there are quit a few area especially both rivers that are just bright blue, anyway to fix it, thx.

If you have this problem with the blue shop and so on, make sure you unchecked the option: Fix Skin Textures with format in the Edit All Preferences. This said Yurixy also. Another step is you have to uncheck the option Mechskin 1 instead of Mechskin 1 you hit Default, now it should work. If it isn’t working for you, deinstall the mod and reintall it. Hope I could help you and sorry for my bad english, im from Germany.

The HD version doesn’t exist because since the 3.11 patch, LoL doesn’t accept any textures with a greater or smaller size (HD or LD). So, only the Standard Version works. I’m sorry for you.

Are you sure are you using a LD version? What map? Neo Beach LD? Chewbacca only fixed the SD (since LD and HD were giving errors). I’m confused with your post.

Hey, i really like this map and i’d really like to play it but i got some kind of problem: My shop + river (+maybe some other stuff) is still blue and buggy.
I know, you’ve talked about this, and i unchecked the “Fix skin textures…”-Option and reinstalled the mod, but it still does not work. Would be awesome if you know what’s to do, i never modded my lol so some help would be awesome :)

It’s very very strange, after you’ve installed your mod in SIU, can you say me the size of the file : “barrel_tx_dm.dds” ? (You can find this file in this path : YourSIUFolder\skins\WinterRift (For Example) \rads\projects\lol_game_client\filesarchives.0.0.95\archive_155085408.raf\levels\map1\scene\textures\) Thanks !!

I’ve just installed the night beach map and it works fine, i’m gonna go offline now (as i answer to you) so i won’t do anything today :/

Hey. I’m having the exact same problem as ZazL has for every Summoners Rift map skin I install, whether that is Beach Rift, Noir Rift or Winter Rift. My shop, the whole river and some areas on the walls are pure blue and you can’t distinct whether you have vision or not, so it’s kinda frustrating to play with. Is there like any solution to this problem? :S Thanks in advance.

It’s expected, but it will not be a copy of the Riot map, just an entire created map ! I hope to make available this map before Harrowing, maybe in early october, i really don’t know. I have to finish my actually map, and i have to fix the Yurixy’s maps for the 3.11 patch ! So, we will see !

Je ne crois pas que le problème vient de SIU, la preuve, les maps marchent ! Je pense plutôt que le problème doit être réglé pour chaque skin de champion. Je vais jeter un coup d’oeil là-dessus dans les jours à venir ! Et merci pour le commentaire :)

You must save all of your textures files in the appropriate DXT Type and with or without the MIP Option. All textures are different. You can’t change the resolution of your texture (You must keep the original resolution). I can if you want send you (by e-mail) the list of all the SR textures (with the DXT Type and MIP Option). Send me your adress :)

Love the map, but how do i fix the blue bug? certain things around the map are just a bright blue and it’s almost unplayable. The entire river is just a blue goop regardless if you have vision there or not, and lots of rocks/trees are also bright blue.

I have the same problem when the option “Fix Skin Textures with Format DXT3.” is enabled in SIU. So, have you desactivate this option before installing your skin in SIU (and not in LoL) ? If not, uninstall your skin, delete it, desactivate the option (Read “How to Install”), re-install your skin in SIU and install your skin in LoL. The problem should be solved.
